CHALLENGE
Capturing the mood and tone of the musical artist in album cover and liner notes, while handling type and microtype appropriately in lyrics, track listing, and incorporating the barcode and record label appropriately.
SOLUTION
I worked with brash, chaotic, bold, rich visuals to capture Annie Clark’s musical style. Her music inspired use of lush organic shapes contrasted by sharp geometric lines. Incorporating liner notes on a separate pullout allowed the collage space to breathe on the interior gatefold.
