CHALLENGE
As the legal cannabis industry expands, the beauty industry is increasingly interested in capitalizing on cannabis as an en vogue ingredient. Cannabis is a wonderful source of essential fatty acids and antioxidants, and when applied topically, the small amount of THC doesn't penetrate deeper than skin level. However, any branding in this emergent niche market has a guaranteed uphill battle to aesthetically distance cannabis from its more common pot shop reputation.
SOLUTION
Utilizing colorblocking, a handsome, androgynous palette, and an abstracted cannabis molecule as a subtle nod to the featured ingredient, I built a product line that emphasizes the high-end botanical benefits of cannabinoids. Careful copywriting highlights the restorative properties of the line while also reassuring consumers that the skincare isn't psychoactive in any way.
